Do I have to pay anything to list my activities on Acorn?

No - Creating a profile and listing new activities is completely free of charge.

How do you sign-up to Acorn?

To signup please fill in the form at https://provider.getacorn.com
Once you click the “REGISTER” button, your account on Acorn is created. We will send you an email to verify your address, so make sure to click on the verify link to keep your account activated.

How do I claim my business on Acorn?

To simplify your work, the Acorn team has already prepopulated a lot of information.

    To see if your business is already in our database:
  • go to your Business Profile (https://provider.getacorn.com/profile)
  • type the name of your business in the Business Name field
  • when you see your business click on “Claim The Business”.

This will fill in the rest of the form. Verify that everything is correct, click “Save” and confirm on the next page. Your business is now claimed!

I can’t find my business in your database, can I register?

Of course, you can create your profile from scratch. Just enter the name of your business and fill in the form with your address and contact details. Once you press the “SAVE” button and then confirm on the next page, your business is officially in our database.

My business is not located in London, New York or Los Angeles. Can I still register?

Yes you can! The Acorn app is available everywhere and is open to providers everywhere. We are deploying in some cities first to help parents find a lot of information about their local activities. We will probably be in your city very soon, so feel free to contact us at [email protected] to discuss how we could help your local community.

I have claimed my business, do I have to do anything more?

The most important aspect at Acorn are the activities. In our app, parents can only search by activities and not businesses. If some activities have been pre-populated in your account, check that the information (schedule, price etc…) is correct. You have full control over the information you publish. If there are no activities attached to your business you will need to create at least one. The process take about 2 to 3 minutes. If you are a venue you can add your business hours as an activity and you will appear in the search results.

What type of businesses are allowed on Acorn?

Acorn is a kids activities app, this means that parents use Acorn to find things to do with their children. If you are providing a karate class, holding an arts and craft event or have a venue tailored for kids, you are welcome to sign up. If you are a restaurant or a nanny agency you probably don’t fit with our requirements, but feel free to email us at [email protected] to discuss.

Can I list my activity in different categories?

We have 9 general categories (Getting active, Little ones, Great outdoors, Party time, Days out, Words & wisdom, Music & dance, Arts & craft and Movies & theatre) that you can choose from. Each of these categories has sub-categories that help you narrow down where you fit.

I run a pregnancy yoga classes can I add my classes to Acorn?

Absolutely! There is a “Little one” category where soon-to-be parents are looking for activities to do during this special period.

Can I register on Acorn if I am already registered on other children activity platforms?

Yes! Any children’s business can register on Acorn and you do not have to list exclusively on our site.

Is there a limit to how many activities I can add onto my business profile?

No, please add as many activities as you offer!

Does Acorn charge a fee when referring clients to my website?

No Acorn doesn't charge a referral fee.
